Kia Stinger GT is it finished

Kia Stinger GT – Today is a very sad day. Because we are discussing the death of what has become an automotive icon. The Kia Stinger.

Launched at a time when Holden, Ford and Chrysler all were killing their respective rear wheel drive sports saloons, the Stinger became an instant Australian classic.

For good reason, it is affordable, stylish, comfortable and comes with two engine options, a 2.0L and 3.3L turbo six. Either engine provides excellent driver engagement but the 3.3L V6 is the engine of choice.

Stinger provides a powerful sports saloon, with practical liftback styling, all for between $52,500 through to the top spec GT for $66,460 plus the usual costs.

In an automotive world that will see the new EV6 GT electric car perform better than the Stinger, perhaps Kia would kindly drop the 3.3L V6 from the Stinger into the Sorento and give us a performance SUV at least.

Yes, listeners the Stinger death bell has been rung, we are not sure exactly when, but if you are a fan then grab one now while you can, before its wonderful exhaust note becomes but a memory.
